What I take on

Four kinds of work. All of it Shopify.

No WordPress, no generic web design, no "we also do mobile apps." One platform, known deeply, which is why I can usually tell you within a day whether your problem is a two-hour job or a two-week one.

01

Custom Shopify Apps

No app on the store does the job.

You trialled six. Each got 70% of the way there and charged monthly for the rest.

  • Embedded admin apps with Polaris & App Bridge
  • Checkout, post-purchase & thank-you page extensions
  • Webhooks, billing APIs, App Store review process
  • Shopify Functions for discounts & checkout logic
02

Theme Development

The setting you need doesn't exist.

Everyone else quotes a full redesign. I add the section, not the rebuild.

  • Custom OS 2.0 sections & blocks
  • Metafield-driven dynamic content
  • Core Web Vitals & speed cleanup
  • Features your theme settings can't do
03

Integrations

Shopify says twelve. The warehouse says three.

I build the pipeline that retries, logs, and tells you the moment it breaks.

  • ERP / CRM / 3PL / accounting connections
  • Order & inventory sync with retry logic
  • Webhook pipelines that don't drop events
  • Monitoring so failures surface, not hide
04

App & Theme Rescue

They built it, it broke, they stopped replying.

I read other people's code for a living. You'll get an honest fix-or-rebuild call before you spend anything.

  • Audit of the existing codebase
  • Honest report of what's actually wrong
  • Fix or rebuild, whichever is cheaper for you
  • Documentation so you're never stuck again

What I build with

  • Remix / React Router
  • Polaris
  • GraphQL Admin API
  • Checkout Extensions
  • Post-Purchase Extensions
  • Liquid
  • Online Store 2.0
  • Metafields
  • Webhooks
  • Shopify Functions
  • App Bridge
  • Node.js

Process

Five steps. No surprises on the invoice.

The quote you approve is the invoice you pay. Everything else happens away from your live store.
  1. 01

    Call

15 minutes, booked within 1 business day. You show me the store and the problem.

  2. 02

    Scope & quote

A written scope at a fixed price, usually within 48 hours. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  3. 03

    Build

Work happens on a dev store or a theme copy. Your live store keeps trading, untouched.

  4. 04

    Review

You test it yourself before it goes anywhere near production. Revisions in scope are included.

  5. 05

    Handover

Code, docs and access are yours to keep. Plus 14 days of free bug support after launch.

Before you email

The questions
everyone asks first.

The practical stuff: what it costs, how long it takes, and what happens to your live store while I work.

Have a different question?

Ask me directly

Replies within 1 business day.

You're one person. What happens if you get hit by a bus?

Fair question, and the honest answer is that you own everything from day one. Code sits in your repo, apps sit under your Shopify Partner account, and every project ships with documentation written for the next developer, not for me. Nothing I build is locked to me being around.

Why not just hire an agency?

If you need brand strategy, paid media and a twelve-person team, hire an agency. If you need one specific thing built properly on Shopify, an agency will route you through an account manager to a junior developer while charging you for both. You get me, at the price of one person.

Will you touch my live store?

Not until you've seen the work and signed off. Everything happens on a development store or a duplicated theme. Your live store keeps trading exactly as it is until the moment you approve the change.

How much does this cost?

Small theme work usually lands in the hundreds. A custom app is normally a few thousand, depending on scope. Every project is quoted as a fixed price in writing before a line of code is written, so the invoice at the end is the number you agreed at the start.

How fast can you start?

You get the free audit back within one business day. If we go ahead, most theme and integration work starts within the week. App builds are scheduled properly, because rushing an App Store submission is how you fail review twice.

What if I'm not sure what I actually need?

Then send the problem, not the spec. Half the emails I get describe a symptom rather than a solution, and that's fine. Working out whether you need an app, a theme change, or nothing at all is part of the audit.

Not sure which one?

Then don’t pick one.

Send your store URL and describe the problem in plain English. I’ll tell you what it actually takes to solve. Sometimes the honest answer is a fifteen-minute fix you can do yourself, and I’ll say so.
